How people living in societies like Valmark can help each other through the pandemic

COVID-19 has fundamentally altered our lives, creating enormous difficulties and undermining the most fundamental pillars of social well-being. The healthcare sector is now overburdened as the infected population grows in multiples of two and three. Any resident, household and housing community would need to be prepared for emergencies in such a situation. These emergencies may take the form of having breathing support on hand, having emergency service numbers on hand, and having isolation areas set aside on the premises.

Furthermore, people who live in colonies, societies, and complexes aren’t having as much trouble as some when they have others to depend on all year. This pandemic has been difficult for all of us, but living in a stable and neighbourly society will help to alleviate feelings of isolation and helplessness. Small cultures emerge as a result of living in communities like this. Families and residents who are subjected to heavy isolations during lockdown do not need to fret or shiver at the thought of loneliness as a housing society is a cluster of communities coexisting peacefully among themselves, so you don’t ever have to worry about being alone because you’ll have many people around you!

If you have fallen ill with COVID-19 many facilities within the society will be able to aid and tend to your every need. Facilities like a small clinic or a first aid nurse office, isolation rooms(Gym halls, auditorium etc) are predominantly provided to housing societies. Societies can easily prepare themselves to take care of the affected Covid 19 patients through the following things

First; at the society’s clubhouse/office/Gymnasium, an emergency holding at a medical area or an isolated area for patients should be created; this assigned area usually has an associated bathroom. Secondly; setting up a few Pulse Oximeters, Blood Pressure Sensors and Thermometers to check the vitals of patients on a regular basis. Third; making sure to have abundant hand sanitizer, gloves, N95 masks, regular masks and an infrared thermometer on hand.

Societies also follow strict COVID-19 protocols, unlike independent apartment or complexes. In societies every two days, the area should be sanitised and washed (if not occupied) and if patients are kept in isolation, washing should be performed on a regular basis. These are just a few instances of how living in a society can benefit you in times of crisis.

Additionally, people in gated properties have risen to help, volunteering to assist those who need it. The feeling and sense of ‘community’ has been the backbone of every benevolent action taken towards relieving victims of COVID and other problems arising from the virus.

A society like Valmark is home to a community of people ready to help you when times get tough. Anyone regardless of age is most welcome to be a part of the Valmark family. Book a home at a Valmark property and start your extended family with our loving community!
